Parents & Teachers: It is "Sneezing Season"! As the weather starts to turn colder, the cold & flu season begins. Many households and schools will be affected. Here are a simple few tips help your children/students avoid passing and/or getting someone else's germs: 1. Sneeze into a tissue and immediately throw it away. 2. If you don't have access to tissue, turn away from people close to you and sneeze into your elbow. Refrain from sneezing into your hands! 3. Wash your hands frequently throughout the day, and avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth). Teachers: Make sure you have plenty of tissue boxes in your classroom. If you have tables, I would suggest putting one tissue box on each table and having a trash can in close proximity. This will eliminate unnecessary foot traffic during your lessons. If you have a sink, encourage your students to wash their hands throughout the day especially before eating snacks and lunch.
